Occupational Safety Training Systems (O.S.T.S.)

This course meets care guidelines set forth by The Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and The National Guidelines For First Aid Training In Occupational Settings (NGFATOS). This course also follows the same guidelines of the American Heart Association. Course duration is four (4) hours and certification is good for 2-years.

Topics covered include:
• scene safety
• bodily substance isolation
• initial and ongoing assessment
• airway management (including foreign body airway obstruction)
• rescue breathing
• one-rescuer CPR
• medical emergencies
• bleeding
• shock and injuries to muscles and bones

Optional, add-on modules
• AED Training – Approximately Two (2) hours
• Bloodborne Pathogens – Approximately One (1) hour

*Certification valid for 2 years*
