Communication: Getting the results you need through others who want to do what needs doing!

The more successful you communicate, the more successful you will be. Great managers communicate in ways that motivate others to get more done and appreciate the opportunity to contribute in the process.

Class Session Overview:

“The most serious mistakes are not being made as a result of wrong answers,” warned the great Peter Drucker. “The truly dangerous thing is asking the wrong questions.”  With so much data and uncertainty weighing on our decisions, asking the wrong questions – to arrive at the wrong destination – are mistakes we can’t afford to make. When we receive a request, questions clarify the real request.

How managers make requests have everything to do with how the request is accepted and work is delivered.  If we do not get the results we hope for, we are not making the requests in ways that motivate and clearly communicate our desired end.  Becoming a great communicator, understanding what others really want, as well as helping others want to do what we need them to do, produces greater efficiency and satisfaction by delivering results.
