Over the past 34 years, the Southern California Contractors Association has worked toward achieving the following values: |
||||
|
As SCCA Members, each of us has the responsibility to make sure that our actions abide by these values. RESPECT Respect means we treat others with dignity, as we would like to be treated ourselves. Respect applies to every individual we interact with. Each of us is expected to demonstrate these key beliefs as SCCA Members. We will respect the environment by complying with all applicable environmental laws. SCCA is committed to the protection of the environment by minimizing the environmental impact of our operations and operating our businesses in ways that will foster a sustainable use of the world's natural resources. Members need to support this commitment by complying with legally established environmental policies and programs. RESPONSIBILITY SCCA Members are expected to lead according to our standards of ethical conduct, in both words and actions. SCCA Officials at every level are responsible for promoting open and honest two-way communications. Building quality relationships with other companies is an SCCA goal. CONDUCT Abusive, harassing, or offensive conduct is unacceptable, whether verbal, physical or visual. Examples include derogatory comments based on racial or ethnic characteristics and unwelcome sexual advances. We are encouraged to speak out when a member's conduct makes us uncomfortable. If any unacceptable situation should arise, any member, or other person, should report their concern to the Executive Vice President, The Association President, or any SCCA Officer. This final version adopted by a vote of the SCCA Board of Directors on 9/11/02 |
